Naujausią savo darbą „Poems and Other Emergencies“ ji pristatė 2020 Briuselyje, festivalyje „Batard“.

„kalba kaip protezas“), iškilusį kuriant darbą „Poems and other emergencies“, kaip atsirado poetinė figūra „The girl with her tongue out“ (liet.

.talking research with Chloe Chignell

We present Liza Baliasnaja conversation with Chloe Chignell – dancer and choreographer based in Brussels working across text, choreography and publishing. She graduated from the research cycle at P.A.R.T.S, has a Bachelor in Dance from Victorian College of the Arts, and studies a writing and residency program at DOCH.  In 2019 she opened a bookshop and project space for practices moving between publication and performance, with Sven Dehens. Her most recent work Poems and Other Emergencies premiered at Batard Festival Brussels 2020.

We talk to Chloe about what research means to her, why it’s so important to constantly ask questions, about poetry as the equivalent of dance in the literary genres, and about poetry as an inspiration to constantly experiment. Chloe will also talk about how she discovered the concept of “language as prosthesis”, which arose during the creation of “Poems and other emergencies”, how the poetic figure “The girl with her tongue out” appeared and what does she explore in her most recent research “Public Relations”.
